WE ARE LEFT NUMB AND AT A LOSS FOR WORDS
ImageThe parents and girlfriend of a former Rickmans-worth School pupil killed in a road traffic colli-sion in Watford on Tuesday, November 10, have paid tribute to him. Chris Puddifoot, 22, from Northwood was a passenger in a BMW 325i travelling along Ham-permill Lane towards Watford at around 5.20pm. For reasons unknown at this time the BMW was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Astra travelling in the opposite direction. Chris died as a result of the collision. Michael and Mei Puddifoot, Chris‟ parents who also lost their daughter Karen in an accident in the South China Sea in September, told My Watford News: “No parent should ever have to outlive a child but losing two of our children in less than two months has left us numb and at a loss for words. “We moved to Northwood to this house when Chris was only ten months old. He attended Eastbury Farm JMI School before attending Rickmansworth School where he passed three „A‟ levels. “Chris was a model son, brother and friend. He was warm and caring and was loved by all who met him. He loved working as assistant manager at the St Luke‟s Hospice Shop in Pinner where he was really well thought of and held in high regard by people.” In June this year Chris accompanied his late sister Karen and one of his best friends Tim Roney as they were taking part in a round-the-world charity bike ride to raise funds for the British Lung Foundation. Chris completed the European and Scandinavian part of the trip. Karen and Tim also died in September follow-ing an accident whilst they were sailing on the South China Sea on September 24 this year as part of the same round the world cycle ride. “Chris was a tower of strength to us after we lost Karen and of course Tim, who was such a close family friend. The Puddifoots said: All of their friends were, and continue to be so supportive after Karen died and now we are having to cope with losing Chris too. He was so strong for us. Words cannot de-scribe the shock of our loss of such a beautiful son and how we will cope without them both.” Chris‟ girlfriend Abigail Bains said that Chris was her best friend and words cannot describe how much she will miss him. “He had lots of friends, whom he adored, and who supported him after the deaths of Karen and Tim. He was my best friend and I loved him the most – he was my favourite person. He meant everything to me.”
